Dallas police officers took the stand Tuesday in the capital murder trial of a 28-year-old man accused of fatally shooting their colleague. Wesley Lynn Ruiz was arrested in March 2007 after authorities said he led police on a short chase through West Dallas.

(RTTNews) - Against the dollar, the Pakistan Rupee edged higher in early trading on Monday. At about 1:20 am Eastern Time, the rupee hit an 11-day high of 67.86 per dollar. The dollar-rupee pair is currently quoted at 68.16, compared to Friday's closing value of 68.11.
(RTTNews) - The Sri Lankan rupee traded higher against its US counterpart during early deals on Monday. At about 1:00 am ET, the rupee reached an 11-day high of 107.68 against the buck, compared to Friday's closing value of 107.85. As of now, the pair is worth 107.75.
The Beaumont Fire Department is checking for a possible leak in a railcar tank at Louisiana and Seventh Streets, Capt. Pat Grimes said. A hazmat team is on the scene and Grimes said access into the railyard is blocked.
